The XLA 170 has the ability to read a barcode printed on the media and automatically adjust the position of the vertical blades ( see below for compatible RIPs).<\/p>\n

Together with the\u00a0\u00a0X\/Y blades image tracking<\/strong>, it is the world\u2019s first fully automatic X\/Y cutter, capable of unattended trimming with precision random sizes in the same roll.<\/p>\n

The cutter can also easily set standard sizes, replicating the XLD features with an even more user-friendly operability.<\/p>\n

The XLA 170\u00a0can handle most flexible media<\/strong>\u00a0up to a maximum thickness of 1mm (40ml) including polycarbonate, photo paper, vinyl, self-adhesive vinyl, PVC, film, duratrans, TDF, canvas, laminated or encapsulated prints and much more. Regardless of any feed misalignment, the XLD 170 will\u00a0automatically re-align itself to the edge of the printed image<\/strong>. If the printer fails to print parallel to the media edge, or if the printer fails to wind up the roll squarely, the XLD170 True Edge Tracking always produces perfectly squared posters.<\/p>\n

The XLD series can be set in line to any printer by means of a pneumatically controlled buffer.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

While the printer is plotting, the buffer accumulates the media controlling the action of the cutter.<\/p>\n

It is available for all XLD cutters independently from speed and width.<\/p>\n

With this device it is possible to reduce the workflow to a single process.
